WHAT TO EXPECT

Kelsey May Photography is unique -
An experience beyond showing up, smiling and simply going home - images created by me are meticulously designed and planned before you even show up.

During our first initial sit-down, as I get to know you, and we discuss the vision you have for your images, I begin to imagine and plan how to bring your perfect pictures to life. We talk about colors you love (and don't love!), styling and locations that would work best if you're desiring outdoor. I shoot outdoors on location year-round, weather permitting, and travel up to 30 minutes outside of the Portland and West Linn area.

My studio is fit with comfortable couches and chairs and a small table where we enjoy snacks and drinks as we chat - you also have access to my client wardrobe - a massive collection of dresses and clothing fitting women size xxs-XXL, and children age newborn to teen, as well as a small collection for men.
Maternity gowns are available to try on as well.

Based off the information you share and the number of people in your images, I then go home and carefully plan out each image and pose. I purchase and gather any props we may need and design a style-sheet for you if requested. A style sheet will be based off of colors and looks you like and help guide you in selecting outfits for shoot day. I am also available to help you look through your own closet to select your perfect look.

On shoot date, I will have everything we need, including props, and depending on the number of people and type of shoot, you can expect to shoot anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Newborn is often closer to two as we give baby all the time they need.

Turnaround time for image edits is generally 2 - 4 weeks, again, depending on time of year and the size of your gallery.
